On Monday, March 2, 2026, we had the privilege of attending the Encore Ovation Gala—an evening that was both moving and deeply inspiring. The event brought together community members, supporters, and advocates to celebrate the incredible older adults whose creativity, talent, and lifelong contributions continue to enrich and uplift our communities.

The gala served as a powerful reminder that creativity and purpose have no age limit. Throughout the evening, guests reflected on the importance of supporting older adults and ensuring they have access to resources, opportunities, and community connections that allow them to continue thriving.

One of the most meaningful moments of the night was watching the older adults perform, showcasing their vibrancy and reminding everyone that their voices and talents remain powerful and important. It was also beautiful to see the community come together in support of Encore Community Services and its mission. Thanks to the incredible generosity of attendees and supporters, the organization raised over half a million dollars. These funds will go toward expanding their kitchen, enabling them to continue providing nourishing meals to the older adults they serve.

While meals are essential, the impact of this work goes far beyond nutrition. For many older adults, these services provide moments of connection, dignity, and care—creating a sense of belonging and community that is truly invaluable.
