Actors FCU's two Youth Account levels help out younger members learn to manage their money and get their financial lives off to a great start. Both account types will be issued in minor's name and Social Security Number.

    Auditions (newborn to 18 years)**

    This traditional UTMA account (Uniform Transfer to Minors Act) is a great way to start building a bright financial future for your child! It is a custodial account, which means a parent or guardian helps manage it until the child reaches legal age-then it is all theirs. Start strong with just a $100 minimum balance.

    Featured Role (13 to 21 years)**

    The Featured Role Account is the perfect next step toward financial independence! It is a joint account with a parent or guardian—great for making the transition from a custodial account to managing your own finances. Both you and your parent/guardian can make deposits and withdrawals.

    You will get all the perks of Power Checking, including a debit card in your name (with a $600 daily spending limit), access to ePay$ Online Bill Pay to handle real-world expenses, and another level of learning. Checks are available for viewing or printing in eBranch Online. Start strong with just a $100 minimum balance.

    Account Opening

    Open an Auditions (UTMA) Account

     

    Prospective Member:

    A Savings Account is required for membership with Actors Federal Credit Union (Actors FCU). Auditions (UTMA) accounts require an initial deposit of $100 at account opening. A balance of $100 must be in the savings account before the end of each calendar month and one member-initiated transaction must be completed every twelve months to avoid fees. The trustee, parent, guardian, or custodian is NOT a joint owner. Upon reaching the age of majority (depending on the state), the minor gains control of the account and may use the monies as they see fit. Auditions (UTMA) accounts are available to minors with an existing Coogan account, minors whose parents belong to the credit union, or minors who belong to one of our affiliated membership organizations.     WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

    In order to open an Auditions Account with Actors FCU, please prepare the following items/documents:

    1. Completed membership application package with wet signature(s) – No Digital Signatures.

    2. Proof of membership eligibility:

    • Select Employee Group (SEG) affiliation (unexpired union card, recent pay stub or original letter from employer). OR
    • Proof of relationship to current member (certification of relationship form).

    3. Clear copy of the minor’s birth certificate.

    • The image provided must be a clear copy of the original certified birth certificate.

    4. Copy of Valid Government-issued photo ID for custodian.

    5. Proof of address (e.g., utility bill or lease agreement) if the address on the custodian’s photo ID does not match the address listed on your membership application.

    HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR INFORMATION:

    Our preferred method of document submission is through our Secure File Upload Center located on our website. Complete the required fields and upload all items listed above.

    If you do not have the ability to submit your application via our Secure File Upload Center, we can also accept your application and documents in person or via USPS mail. Applications should be submitted to the Actors FCU Branch that is nearest to your home address. Applications that are submitted via mail or fax may require additional time for processing.     PROCESSING THE APPLICATION:

    Once we have received the completed application and all supporting documents, the package will be assigned to a new account representative within 1 to 3 business days. You will receive an email with the name and email address of the assigned representative. Once the application is assigned, please allow 7 to 10 business days for account opening. Please note that incomplete packages will delay these processing times.

    FUND YOUR NEW ACCOUNT:

    You must deposit at least $100 to establish this membership.
